Owl always love you

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I started by stamping the image and the sentiment from the Woodware Owl Love Stamp Set onto Bright White Card using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. I coloured in using Graphmaster Alcohol Markers. I used - Blues 67, 63, 64, BG1, Pinks 28, 8, 89, CG1, Yellows (beaks) 37, 32, 24, Browns (branch) 103, 93, 96 and Greens (leaves) 48, 59 and 47. I matted onto Black Card.

I stamped the Woodware Old Letter Stamp onto Bright White Card, again using Memento Ink. I matted onto Black Card.

For the main background, I randomly stamped hearts and the hoot sentiment from the Owl Love Stamp Set all over a piece of Bright White Card using Memento Ink. I coloured in using the same Blue and Pink Graphmaster Pens I had used for the owls. I matted onto Black card and popped onto a Bright White Card blank.

I finished my card off by adding a 5mm White Pearl to each corner of the main image panel.

Thanks for stopping by.

Favourite Hello

Hi Bloggers.

Thank you gor all your good wishes yesterday. The migraines are at bay, still a bit tender but manageable. I do know my food triggers and I hadn't had any of those, I think I was just a bit stressed. I did go to see Beauty and the Beast at the cinema on Monday night - highly recommended if you love a good Disney musical. Made better by knowing all the words to the songs - though I did not embarass myself by singing along!

Here's today's card -

I started by spritzing a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I then sprinkled Plum Twist and Golden Mint CS Pixie Powder over the surface and out aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the Woodware Paris Collage using Clear Perfect Medium. I embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from Sue Wilson's Essential Rectangles Die Set and inked around the edges with Plum Cobbler CS Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I popped it onto a mat of Black Card.

For the background, I popped a little of the same 2 Pixie Powders onto a piece of copy paper and rubbed the Woodware Memories Stamp into the powder. I misted the stamp with water and stamped onto Coconut White Card. I repeated this process 4 times to completely cover my background. I inked around the edges with Plum Cobbler Colour Cloud. I matted onto Black Card and onto a Card Blank.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Warm Fuzzy Greetings onto a piece of my Pixie Powder background using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using another die from Sue's Essential Rectangles Die Set. I meant to ink around the edges but forgot 😒. I matted onto Black Card.

I completed my card, adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

John Lockwood is continuing with a One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Blooming Heart

Hi Bloggers.

A quickie today. I've been suffering with migraines these last few days so can't spend ages at my laptop.

I stamped the Woodware Blooming Heart onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using CS Lava Red Pixie Powder using a Water Brush. Different shades were achieved by mixing White Pearl and Midnight Sky Pixie Powders with the Lava Red in separate wells in my Palette.

I used Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares to cut out and to add a Black Card mat. I popped onto a Coconut White Card mat.

John Lockwood is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with some more of the latest collection of dies by Sue Wilson. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Wishing you a Fabulous Birthday

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Bright White Card using the Creative Expressions Brambled Rose Embossing Folder. I cut a strip of paper from Phill Martin's Blossom 8 x 8 Paper Pad and matted it onto Black Card. I added a piece of Black Guipire Lace and popped onto a Bright White Card blank.

I stamped the Woodware Special Bird onto Bright White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I added the sentiment that comes with the bird down the side of the image.

I coloured in using Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze Pens and Stardust Pens.

I used a little Sakura Clear Star Stardust Pen to the swirls on the image. Once the image was dry, I matted onto Black Card and added it to my card.

I completed my card by adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

Many Happy Returns

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the weave, I started by cutting Sue Wilson's Striped Weaving Die out of Sky Blue Card twice and out of Lilac Card twice. With CS Glue just at the ends of the strips, I added the Sky Blue die cut to the Lilac Die Cut, offsetting to fill in the gaps. I cut one of the pieces into sections that were 4 strips wide - 1 Lilac, 2 Sky Blue and 1 Lilac. I wove these in and out of the other die cut.

I made a frame out of Sky Blue and Lilac Card using Sue's Ornate Pierced Rectangles. I added it to my woven background using 3D Foam Tape and trimmed away the excess. I cut the largest die in the set out of Lilac Card. I added mats of Sky Blue and Lilac Card and some Small Circle Dazzlers.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Butterfly Elegance Sentiments onto Sky Blue Card using Blue Violet Archival. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Belgian Tags. I cut the corresponding outside die only out of Lilac Card.

I cut Sue's Star Flower Cluster out of Sky Blue and Lilac Card and added some Craft Consortium Small Rhinetones to the centre of the flowers.

Don't count the days!

Hi Bloggers.

I'm running a workshop locally today - should be fun!

Here's today's card -

For the background, I spritzed a little water into 2 areas on my craft sheet. I added a little CS Golden Mint Pixie Powder to one and a little CS Midnight Blue Pixie Powder to the other. I added each one to separate pieces of Cut n Dry Foam. I used these to ink through the Lots of Love Mask onto Coconut White Card. I moved the mask down the card to extend the design. I matted onto Deep Blue Card and then onto a Coconut White Card Blank.

I popped some of the same 2 Pixie Powders onto a piece of copy paper. I rubbed the Woodware Paris Collage Stamp into the powders. I misted the stamp and stamped onto Coconut White Card. Once dry, I cut out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Essential Rectangle Die Set. I popped onto a Deep Blue mat and added to my card.

I rubbed one of the sentiments from the Woodware Warm Fuzzy Greetings Stamp Set into the Pixie Powders onmy copy paper. I misted with water and stamped onto Coconut White Card. Once dry, I cut out using another die from Sue's Essential Rectangles and matted onto Deep Blue Card.

The extra mile

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

Unfortunately, I didn't get to show you how to make this background during the Woodware One Day Special Shows this week. It was all ready to go as my first demo at 4pm and then at 7pm but, you know the story - no show. So, I'll try and explain it here.

I started by dusting a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped one of the images from the Woodware Ferns Stamp Set several times down each side using Clear Perfect Medium, added CS True White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I then inked over the piece using Baked Peach and Warm Cocoa CS Colour Clouds using Smoothies. I left the ink to settle for a few minutes and then popped the Prism Effect Mask over the top and inked through with Decadent Oak Colour Cloud. I removed any excess ink from the embossed leaves using Kitchen Roll, matted my background onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Brightening Your Day Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS True White Detail Powder. I inked all over Baked Peach and Warm Cocoa Colour Clouds. I cut it out using dies #3 and #4 from Sue Wilson's Cape Verde Die Set. I cut die #4 from the set out of Black Card and glued the 2 die cuts together. I inked another piece of Coconut White Card with Baked Peach and Warm Cocoa. I cut dies #5 and #6 from the same set out of my coloured card. I cut die #6 out of Black Card and glued these last 2 die cuts together.

I cut a pair of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Orange Blossom Leaves. I made a flower out of Black Card and my coloured card using Sue's Striped Nastutium Die Set. I added an 8mm White Pearl to the centre.

Thanks for stopping by.

I wrapped some Black Guipure Lace around and also some Black Satin Ribbon and popped onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the Love Collage onto another piece of Coconut White Card, again using Jet Black Archival. I added some Chic Magenta and Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud in the areas shown using Smoothies and then filled in the gaps with Chic Pumpkin. I matted onto Black Card and added a 5mm Black Pearl to the corners.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Black Satin Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Bubble Bloom : Curly Sue Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival.
