Pixie Mister

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

Another easy peasy technique with CS Pixie Powders. I added some water to an empty Mister Bottle and then added a couple of puffs of Plum Twist Pixie Powder. I gave it a little shake to mix and then spritzed over the Paved Mask which was sitting on a piece of Coconut White Card. I used the Phill Martin method in a big box - it really does work! I did get a few splodges on this one but I actually like them. I put it aside to dry. I also misted another piece of Coconut White Card (no mask this time). As usual, the mica doesn't show up on the photos - it really sparkles in real life!

I made a frame using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my mask background using 3d Foam Tape. I trimmed away the excess using scissors.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Applique Flowers Stamp Set onto my spritzed piece of card using Jet Black Archival and cut it out using the smaller die in the Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tags Dies. I stamped the frame from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival and cut it out using the other die in the Vintage Sentiment Tags Dies.

I stamped the flower from the same stamp set onto my spritzed card twice using Jet Black Archival and cut them out using scissors. I glued them on top of each other, offsetting them and added a Craft Consortium Vintage Pearl Charm. I cut a couple of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Orange Blossom Leaves.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Small Circle Dazzlers to 3 of the corners of the frame.

Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Creative Expressions Eternal Ivy Embossing Folder. I then misted the background with CS Pearl Mist.

I cut the inner die only from the Spellbinders Swirl Stripe Panel out of Peach Card. I re-seated one half of the die back into the die cut and ran through the machine again to extend the design. I repeated this twice more. I added this to my embossed background. I cut a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's  Double Pierced Rectangles and Double Pierced Rectangles Set B. I added it to my backgrounds using 3d Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Feathered Grass Flourish Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Silver Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the deboss die in the Spellbinders Ornamental Crest Die Set. I misted the deboss frame with CS Pearl Mist.

I tied a bow using Craft Consortium Ivory Satin Ribbon and added a Craft Consortium Small Circle Pearl Diamante.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Pearls to the corners of the frame.

John Lockwood is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with his Summers Child Collection. Freebie Friday

Hi Bloggers.

It's Freebie Friday and here's this week's card that needs a new home -

You can read how this card was made here.

Just leave a lovely comment below to go into the draw. I will announce the winner in Monday's post.

I spent all day yesterday trying clear my lounge of website stock that has been accumulating over the last week or show. It was driving me nuts so it had to be done. I have added some Air Dry Clay and some Silicone Moulds as seen on Let Leonie Loose last week. You can find them here. I've had a go with it myself - so easy to use and so light! I've also added some Masks from Duch Doobadoo as a change from the That Special Touch Masks - brilliant with the Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and lots more. You can find them here. There's also some gorgeous new dies from Justrite which you can find here.

Lisa Horton is continuing with her One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight.

Owl'sThat!

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background. I popped the Owl's That Mask onto a piece of Watercolour Card. I sprinkled some Bronze Blush CS Pixie Powder over it (yes, I've only used 1 colour of powder). I then spritzed with water. Leaving the mask in place, I placed a piece of Coconut White Card ove the top and rubbed over with my hand to get a negative from the ink sitting on the mask. I put both pieces aside to dry. I spritzed another piece of Watercolour Card with water and then sprinkled some Bronze Blush Pixie Powder over. I put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Applique Flowers Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies and cut the other die in the set out of Black Card.

Once all my Pixie Powdered pieces were dry, I started to construct my card.

I made a flower using my negative piece and Sue Wilson's Orange Blossom Complete Petals, I cut Sue's Orange Blossom Open Petals out of Black Card and stamens from the same set out of Coconut White Card. I added a Black 8mm Pearl to the centre.

I cut some leaves out of my spritzed piece using Sue's Orange Blossom Leaves.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Small Black Circle Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Sunny Days

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Creative Expressions Jacobean Floral Embossing Folder.

I rubbed some Plum Twist and Scarlet Mist CS Pixie Powders into a piece of Watercolour Card. I inked up the Justrite Fleur Twist Background with Clear Perfect Medium and stamped into the dusted powder. Some of the powder transfers to the stamp and on the dusted card you see the image created by the Perfect Medium ink. I misted the stamp with some water and then stamped onto a piece of Watercolour Card. I trimmed it down a little and matted onto Black Card. I misted the other piece of card which gives a very subtle background and put aside for another project.

I added my background panel to my embossed background and wrapped a piece of Black Satin Ribbon around.

I stamped the image from the Justrite Sunflowers Vintage Labels Five Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Five Dies. I coloured in using Plum Twist, Scarlet Mist and Mango Blaze Pixie Powders by tapping a little of the powders into a Mixing Palette and using a Water Brush to paint with. I cut the largest die in the Vintage Labels Five Die Set out of Black Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Small Black Circle Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Hi Bloggers.

I'm up at Creative Expressions HQ today running workshops. Should be fun. I'm going to be running a Pixie Powders Masterclass up at HQ on Wednesday 13th July. This will be heavily techniques based featuring many of the techniques that I wasn't able to demo on last week's One Day Special. It's your chance to have a go. Please contact Tracey on 01536 481778 during office hours or email her at tracey@creative-expressions.uk.com for more information or to book a place.

I have all 20 colours of the Pixie Powders back in stock on my website. You can find them here.

Here's today's card -
For the background, I taped the Lotus Head Mask to a piece of Coconut White Card using Low Tack Tape. I spread some CS Clear Texture Paste over. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled CS Pixie Powders in Midnight Blue and Peacock Green. I then removed the mask and put aside to dry.

I misted 2 pieces of Watercolour Card with water. On one I sprinkled Midnight Blue Pixie Powder and on the other I sprinkled Peacock Green and put aside to dry.

I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. Once my background was dry, I added my frame using 3d Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Applique Flowers Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies.

Once my sprinkled Pixie Powder Backgrounds were dry, on the Peacock Green one, I dusted with my Anti-Static Bag then stamped the sentiment frame from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I cut it out using the other die in the Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies.

I cut a couple of leaves out of my Peacock Green piece using Sue Wilson's Orange Blossom Leaves Die Set.

I stamped the flower from the same stamp set twice onto my Midnight Blue piece, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I cut them out using scissors, one completely and one with just the inner section, and added a Craft Consortium Vintage Pearl Charm.

I assembled the card as shown adding Black and a Coconut White mats.
