Just Because

Hi Bloggers.

A mega simple card today -

So, I've simply cut the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die out of a reasonable sized piece of Coconut White Card. I put the flowers aside to use on another project.

Using the waste, I inked through it onto another piece of Coconut White Card with Pretty in Pink Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I then inked through again into the centre of each flower with Lavender Lace Colour Cloud applied using the pointy end of a Smoothie.

Next, I wanted to increase the number of petals on each flower. To do this, I masked off the flowers on the waste around the large flower using low take tape, placed it over the large flower, offsetting it and inked through the waste again with the Pretty in Pink Colour Cloud. I repeated the process with the other flowers, applying an additional set of inking on the smallest flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Stamp Set using Watering Can Archival.

I cut the layers out using both sets of Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares.

Have a Truly Fabulous Day

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I cut the Couture Creations Evergreen Die out of Coconut White Card. Using Lavender Lace Colour Cloud and a Smoothie, I used the Evergreen die cut as a mask and inked all over a piece of Coconut White Card.

I cut one of the borders from the Couture Creations Simone's Style Die Set out of Coconut White Card 4 times. I trimmed them down to make a frame all around my background.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Die Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Amethyst Mist Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the middle sized die in the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and inked through the die with Lavender Lace. I cut the largest die in the Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and again inked through the die with Lavender Lace. I used both the outer frame and the fall out piece stacking up with 3d Foam.

I made a couple of flowers using the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die Set, inking the edges of the petals with Lavender Lace and adding some White Pearls. I used my Evergreen mask for the leaves, trimming it down into sections.

I assembled the card as shown adding a few 3mm White Pearls to the mitred corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

One Day Special continues on Hochanda today

Hi Bloggers.

My One Day Special continues on Hochanda today with Couture Creations dies at great prices. Shows are at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Couture Creations Great Dandelion Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design.

I cut one of the borders from the Couture Creations Simone's Style Die Set out of Black Card. I cut it in half, rounded off the excess using scissors and added the pieces to either side of the background.

I cut the Couture Creations Moulin Rouge Die out of Vintage Gold Card and the largest die in the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Stamp Set onto Vintage Gold Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using the middle die in the Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Black Satin Ribbon. I made a flower out of Vintage Gold Card using the Falling Blossoms Die Set and added a Small Black Circle Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I have a few of the items on the ODS in stock on my website. I'm offering 10% discount on them till midnight tonight. You can find them here. Discount is applied at checkout.

I've managed to get stock of Vintage Gold and Vintage Silver Card. It has increased in price to £9.99 for a pack of 25 sheets. This is due to the fact that the gsm has increased from 200 to 250gsm. There isn't a lot of stock at Creative Expressions so I don't know how many times I'll be able to re-order - just ot warn you!

On another note, I've noticed that the number of followers of my blog has reduced dramatically over the last week so we are further from the number of followers needed to reach the next blog candy draw! With John & Sue's help I have discovered the reason. Those people who were following my blog with a non google account have been automatically removed (you can read more about it here). If you're one of these people and you still want to follow me, please set up a gmail account. It's free. Then you will need to re-follow my blog. You will then see updates in google reader whenever I or any of the other members of the CE team post (you will need to re-follow each blog that you're interested in - I have a list of blogs I follow in the right hand side bar of my blog which may be a good start for you?). Here's to reaching the 1400 target for the next draw!

One Day Special on Hochanda starts this evening

Hi Bloggers.

I have a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening starting at 8pm and continuing tomorrow at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you can join me.

Here's today's card and hopefully a demo -

I've only used Coconut White Card for this card.

I cut a frame out of using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares Set B.

I cut the Couture Creations Crystal Aroma Die out of the centre of a piece of card. I embossed the 'waste' by running it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Couture Creations Large Circles Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design.

On another piece of card, I pounced Lavender Lace, Clear Day and Pretty in Pink Colour Clouds using Smoothies. I stacked the 2 frames up on top of the background and then inserted the Crystal Aroma Die Cut.

I used the same method with the Colour Clouds to colour another piece of card and then cut the Couture Creations Script Thanks Die. I cut one of Sue's Pierced Flags and added the Thanks die cut.

I cut the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die Set twice and using 2 sets of flowers the same size. I coloured them using the Colour Clouds then shaped them and added an 8mm White Pearl. I cut the smaller die from the Couture Creations Mercanto Flourish Die Set. I cut it down and added it either side of the flower.

I assembled the card as shown using the colour clouds to colour one of my mats.

I have a few of the items on the ODS in stock on my website. I'm offering 10% discount on them till midnight tomorrow night. You can find them here. Discount is applied at checkout.

Hope to see you later.

Lemon Juice!

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I stamped the Justrite Journey Background onto Milk Card using Coffee Archival. Using Smoothies, I inked sections of the map with Pool, Mountain Rose, Terra Cotta, Clover and Pebble Adirondack Dye Inks. I swiped some Currant Adirondack Dye Ink onto my Craft Sheet and used a Water Brush to colour the banner. I tore around the edges of the map and inked around the edges with Pebble Ink.

I popped some Lemon Juice into a mister bottle and misted it into my hands and 'clapped' over the map. I dried the splats with my heat tool - they turn a burnt brown when dry.

I stamped the car image from the Justrite Explore Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Pebble Ink. I coloured the card with Currant Ink using my Water Brush.

I stamped the sentiment, also from the Explore Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Coffee Archival and cut it out using another die from the Vintage Labels Four Die Set, inking through the die with Pebble Ink.

I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Couture Creations Wire Barbs. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Pumice Ink.

I tied a knot in a piece of Tan/Ivory Striped Grosgrain.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm Cream Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.
