Reindeer in Blue

Hi Bloggers.

I really enjoyed the shows yesterday - I hope you did too and maybe picked up some techniques.

Following on from yesterday's shows, this card features a mask amongst other things -

I thought it would be interesting to make a card completely out of Blue Dusk Card - yes, it is blue and not white so you're computer or phone aren't playing up!

I started by spreading some Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Sky Sparkle Texture Paste through the Wavy Mask asn put aside to dry (approx 2 hours).

I made a frame using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A Die Set.

I cut the reindeer from the Spellbinders Reindeer and Sleigh Die Set.

I made a flower using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die Set and cut a flourish using the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Holly Frame.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Aqua Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

John Lockwood is on Hochanda today at 10am, 2pm and 6pm with some fab new stamps from Sam Poole. Hope you can tune in as I know he has some fab demos planned.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows on Hochanda today at 10am, 1pm and 6pm. They're titled The Magic of Masks with Creative Expressions. There are so many things you can do with masks. If you have time, you'll find lots and lots of cards that I've made using masks somewhere on them by clicking this link.

Here's a few cards that you'll find in the above link -

See you later!

Remember

Hi Bloggers.

Back from a great weekend at Craftasmic in Taunton. I've been given some extra shows on Hochanda tomorrow at 10am, 1pm and 6pm. They're very techniques driven so I hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive on to a paper from the Couture Creations Hearts Ease 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I removed the backing sheet and added Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles. I popped a Cream Pearl Corner in each corner.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Stamp Set onto Milk Card using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and inked through the die with Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Oak Colour Cloud Blending Ink using a Smoothie.

I cut the largest die in the Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set out of Milk Card. I rubbed Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over the surface of the frame and cover the inner section with Decadent Oak Colour Cloud.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Antique White Satin Ribbon. I rubbed some Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over the surface of a Dazzler Setting and a Gold Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Wishing you the happiest of Birthdays

Hi Bloggers.

Day 2 at Craftasmic in Taunton today - a full day of demos for both John & I. It's ticketed event which is sold out so please don't make a special trip to see us if youhaven't been allocated a ticket.

Here's today's card -

This card features the beautiful Vierge Square Die from Couture Creations. I have cut it ut of Coconut White and Black Card and offset them to give a shadow. I cut them out using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A to give a neat finish to the outside edge. I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Sky Blue Card and cut it slightly smaller than the Vierge Square frame. I peeled away the backing and added Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Amazing Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using a die from the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set.

With the leftover bits of covered Sky Blue Card, I cut some flowers using the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die and added Diamond Sprinkles to those too. I popped some Blue Dazzlers in the centres.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

Best of Luck

Hi Bloggers.

Day one at Craftasmic in Taunton today. John has workshops all day and I will be in the shop demoing.

This is a really simple card that I didn't get chance to demo on my Hochanda shows this week.

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Garden Frame Embossing Folder. I cut the Couture Creations Evergreen Die out of Coconut White Card. I double embossed it using Clear Perfect Medium and Phill Martin Frosty Jade Embossing Powder.

I stamped the sentiment using Frosty Jade Colour Cloud Blending Ink using a Smoothie. I cut it out using the inner die in the Couture Creation Mirabilis Die Set and inked through the die with Frosty Jade Colour Cloud. I made a flower using the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die Set - I curled the petals using a quilling tool.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Phew!

Hi Bloggers.

Wow! What a busy few days! I had a lovely day at Hochanda. So good to work with Lee again. It was also good to meet some of the other presenters on the channel. Thank you so much for your messages and emails. I'm so glad that you loved the new products from Couture Creations - there are some beauties, aren't there. No rest (what is that?) today as I'm off to Creative Expressions HQ today for a meeting and then tomorrow John Lockwood & I are heading down to Taunton for a weekend of workshops and demos at Craftasmic (all sold out - sorry but I will be demoing in the shop all day on Saturday so feel free to pop in if you're in the area). I've got to try and find time to do my post and get some washing done before I set off for my meeting this morning - wish me luck!

Here's today's card - the final demo from the Hochanda Shows :

My much loved Mica & Ice technique. I've cut the Couture Creations Vierge Square out of Coconut White Card. This die has no outside cutting edge so you can trim your outside edge to whatever width you like.

On the front of the die cut, I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet. On the back, I added Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Chic Aubergine Mica Powder spreading it all over the sticky areas with a Soft Dusting Brush. I removed as much of the excess Mica Powder as possible and then sealed the whole area with a piece of copy paper. I turned the piece over, removed the other backing sheet from the adhesive and added Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow all over. I trimmed the piece to size by running it through the Grand Calibur with a die from the Spellbinders 6 x 6 matting Basics A Die Set.

I cut the largest die from the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud Blending Ink using a Smoothie. I also inked the piece that popped out of the middle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabuous Sentiments Clear Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using another die from the Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and inked through the die with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
